Heidi Bay is a contemporary artist whose work is a play of traditional figure painting with elements of the abstract. By starting every piece using the old masters' techniques, she veers away from it layer after layer by breaking away from conventional colours or lines.   

Heidi is originally from Germany and graduated with a BFA in Painting and Art History in 2005. She has worked at art galleries, studios and museums in Toronto, New York, Shanghai and is now permanently based in Montreal.
